A group exhibition of work by women who have experienced trauma.

This show explores the many ways in which trauma can manifest itself in women’s art. The traumas included in this show vary widely from rape to isolation, war and abortion. The resulting images also vary widely, but in a surprising manner. Each artist uses a different method to heal through her art. Some display pleasant domestic scenes which retain a very sinister meaning for the artist, some use blood as a symbol of all of their suffering, and some represent their naked self, displaying the vulnerability experienced after trauma.
