Issue 2: Bodies Luminous – A Workshop on Being Seen
Saturday, June 6 | 2 to 4:30 p.m. at Woman Made Gallery | Fee: $15.00
The curators of the Bodies Luminous exhibition will host a workshop grounded in Diamond Forde’s poem “fat girl Dances with a Stranger at a Block Party.”
Writers of all levels are invited to construct a gratitude journal from paper and found materials to house a poem. Participants will explore craft elements which convey celebration in poetry, including sound, rhyme scheme, and point of view, through a generative writing session.
Workshop attendees can look forward to listening to the associated playlist of Mother Body throughout the workshop and engaging with sources of inspiration about music in poetry.
Workshop materials are included in the fee for this event.
