War Forum is a group exhibition of work by 24 artists and 8 poets, both male and female. Art entries were juried by Maureen Burdock and Cynthia Green juried the poetry entries.
In this show, artists from across the U.S. explore the subject of war using photography, digital prints, drawing, painting and poetry. These works deal with the destruction and trauma of WWII and the treatment of Jews, the Vietnam War, the war in Iraq and the horrors of 9/11. Each artist views the topic of war from different angles. While some aim to raise consciousness about responsibility in war, others raise questions about the innocent, war in entertainment, war toys, desensitization, and our ability to find hope.
