Exhibition Description: Invitation to all female identified artists residing in one of the twelve Midwestern States to submit artwork for an open themed exhibition. States include: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. All themes, styles, and media will be considered. Currently created artwork that explores or challenges conceptual and material boundaries is encouraged.

Awards: 1st place $300, 2nd place $100, 3rd place, Honorable Mention

**Works in all media are welcome.
The application fee for our juried exhibitions is $30 for up to three images of work, plus one detail image if necessary. A limited number of artists who experience financial hardship may be exempt from paying the entry fee; please send us an email to request a fee waiver: general@womanmade.org. All applicants should submit an artist’s statement about their body of work. Accepted artworks must not exceed 72″ horizontally and must not have been previously shown at WMG.

Juror: Deb Flagel

Deb Flagel is Woman Made Gallery’s Executive Director as well as an exhibiting artist. She received an MFA in Visual Communication from The School of the Art Institute, Chicago and a Bachelors degree in Art Education/Sculpture from Indiana University, Bloomington. Flagel has exhibited throughout the United States, has had studio practices in Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin and considers her art and sense of self to be closely linked to her Midwestern roots.
