CHICAGO —Woman Made Gallery (WMG) is proud to present “Mutations of Otherness,” a group exhibition with 20 works by 11 artists. Simultaneously WMG is hosting a solo exhibition by Shoshanna Weinberger whose work has been shown internationally.

Regarding her installation work (see image), artist Michelle Acuff, writes, “My imagery springs from diverse sources, in which actual and mediated visions blur. Fundamentally, I’m interested in how we construct knowledge from landscapes, experience, myth and history, both art historical and natural.”
The juror, Shoshanna Weinberger, has been shown internationally with solo shows including, ‘What Makes My Hottentot So Hot’ (Solos Project House, Newark, NJ, 2012) and ‘Sometimes All of Me is Not Enough’ (Carol Jazzar Contemporary Art, Miami, 2012). She has been featured in the National Gallery of Jamaica, 2012 Biennial, Kingston, Jamaica and awarded the First Prize in the 34th Bradley International Print and Drawing Exhibition, Bradley University, Peoria, IL. Her work has been acquired by public collections: The Newark Museum, Newark, NJ; The Sagamore Collection, Miami; Girls Club Collection, Ft. Lauderdale, and The Margulies Collection, Miami.
