“A major tenant of the Women’s Movement is ‘the personal is the political’ – This concept has influenced all of Jere Van Syoc’s art production. Her work is influenced by her ancestors, The Feminists, Goya, Picasso, Miro, Duchamp and many others in the Art Historical Record, as well as various contemporary authors and filmmakers. Jere Van Syoc earned her M.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and her Master of Psychology, from Antioch University in Los Angeles.
