Dorothy Hughes is a clay, fiber and mixed media artist. After receiving her training from the Cranbrook Academy of Art and the University of Illinois at Champaign, Hughes taught Fiber at various institutions including the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Evanston Art Center and Wolverhampton College of Art and Design in England.

Her works are located in both private and public collections such as the Art Institute of Chicago and Northwestern University.
