CHICAGO —Woman Made Gallery (WMG) is proud to present “Equilibrium: Art for a Changing World” sponsored by the Women’s Caucus for Art (WCA) from January 17th through February 27th. The WMG opening reception is on Friday, January 17 from 6 to 9 p.m. In celebration of the annual Women’s Caucus for Art and College Art Association conferences the WCA will honor the artists with a reception on February 14th from 6 to 9 p.m.
Co-juried by Mary Stoppert and Beate Minkovski, “Equilibrium: Art for a Changing World” explores the tensions, demands and challenges inherent in living in a rapidly changing world. Included are works in all genres and media to express the multiple expressions of balance or its absence, ranging from abstract to representational, psychological to social, whimsical and poetic to political commentary.
