At 38, I finally listened to the voice inside me.

For many years, I had had intense emotional reactions and was moved to tears when seeing pictures of rocks, mountain, creeks, and trees. I shoved my feelings deep inside in order support my two young children. But the yearning to change was there, smoldering. After a vision quest presentation, I finally listened.

I did my research, sold my house, quit my job, and moved us halfway across the country to a small town where we had never been before. As soon as we drove through pine forests, along a river, came out of the mountains, and could see the valley we moved to, I knew that for the first time in my life I was home. Exploring this new world in the Northwest freed me from a life that never fit. This new home was a place that allowed me to fulfill many dreams, heal many wounds, and become the person I had always wanted to be. I paint mostly landscapes because they all say home to the spirit within me.
