My art is influenced by the purity and simplicity of childhood; books that I loved as a child, pop culture, and color psychology. I’m a naive artist who paints like my 8-year-old self. As a little girl, I dreamed of being a children’s book illustrator, and was always drawing characters and writing stories — to this day I often include writing and made up characters in my works.
My style is a blend of abstract expressionism and neo-pop, and I use mixed mediums, mostly acrylic paint and oil stick. The theme of my works include one’s personal surroundings, their home, and their belongings. I question, do the same things carry the same importance after COVID-19?
