Harlem Today

20 x 24 in.
Harlem is renowned as the center of African-American culture, a key reference point for blacks who seek to define themselves in relation to a certain version of African- American tradition and history. Today’s Harlem has undergone a huge gentrification process, with businesses such as the Mac Store, Disney store, Starbucks and Magic Johnson Theater on 125th Street. As a result, Harlem struggles to preserve the old culture, in a new modern time.
