My recent work grew out of a desire to initiate spiritual rebirth, rooted in a reference to Shiva, the Hindu god of annihilation & regeneration. The concept arose over grief concerning our current socio-political environment, with a hope that destruction might lead to a civil revolution of tolerance and kindness. The painting depicts a perfect little ecosystem at the edge of the world, post-annihilation.
