Family Portrait
Plexiglas, mirror, cast aluminum forms, wire, pull rings – 35 x 15 x 15 inches
This is an early work made at time of personal stress and uncertainty. In center of each yo-yo are life-casts of nose, mouth, ear of each of my family. As fate would have it, while being played one yo-yo fell breaking the mirror. The change did not alter the original concept but remains as a metaphor and remembrance.
