ARTIST STATEMENT
I collect pieces of this world to imagine new ones. My art is improvisational, often beginning with one idea that expands as new emotions and challenges emerge. I incorporate limitations and laughs in the process. My collages embrace spontaneity and the unconscious as themes arise. My quilts are a kind of fabric collage. My work is informed by family, feeling, and a fleeting sense of place.
