Judy B. Freeman

The cats, like everything that I make, start out as lumps of clay – no molds used. The bodies for the bells and banks are thrown on the potter's wheel and then I incorporate handbuilt additions. Because each piece is made by hand, and I'm human, no two are exactly alike. I envision each cat as a little singer or having a lot to say. These guys were inspired by our own gang of cats that we've had over the years.
