I grew up playing Monopoly and LIFE, both of which made me a pauper or a millionaire in as little as one move. After living lives created by Parker Brothers and Milton Bradley, my own life had become a game of sorts. I decided to take the game format – microcosms of life with dice – and use them to create three dimensional objects with tales of their own. Closed they look like an innocent cake or a wonky building, but open them up and you’ve got a book full of stories, hopefully some that evoke a smile of shared experience.
