My fiber constructions are a combination of mixed media and sculpture. A novel interplay of unconventional and traditional materials and techniques present a unique illustration of conviviality in art and life.

Using encaustic over handmade paper, twigs I harvest from the local landscape and waxed linen thread, I construct simple, strong sculptural forms. Found objects of rusted metal, ubiquitous in the arroyos around Santa Fe are often added to the composition. The juxtaposition of natural and man-made elements creates an earthy appearance. Yet, my work maintains an aesthetic that captures and releases an emotional reaction.
