Having grown up with a father scarred by the experience of Vietnam, I have always considered myself pro-soldier/anti-war. My work focuses on the individual lives affected by war. The fact that America abounds with war toys suggests that we romanticize the horrors of war and shut our eyes to the mental & physical trauma it brings to those it touches.
