It is in the space between things where the most generative ideas reside. I construct artwork layer by layer, until new meanings emerge in the synergy between each part. My current works are site-specific installations that are a response to the context and meaning of each space.

My artist collective recently designed and exhibited work in the People’s Church balcony in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago, (a church with a progressive and egalitarian mission and history). We generated a list of words in response to the diffused light and faded beauty of this well-worn space. Some of these words: sanctuary, multitude, refuge(e) and desire, were points of departure for the cut-paper window installations that I created.
