ARTIST STATEMENT
‘Nuclear Pups’ explores traditional world building for comics and pushes the boundaries of how comics can be viewed. This piece is a form of playing with different ideas of realities through color and imagery of different creatures. I find it interesting how a risograph print has multiples, yet when the print is pushed further it can create a one of a kind piece. ‘Nuclear Pups’ is a series of risograph prints that were organized and mounted on a wooden panel. The risograph prints are also screen printed with varnish to seal the colors making the prints archival. ‘Nuclear Pups’ explores how comics can fit into a gallery setting.
