I started my artistic career by making experimental animated films with fabric and embroidery. The labor intensive process reflects my interests in utilizing common materials in an unconventional way. Over the years, I have focused on exploring the dichotomy found inside a highly-cultivated society: how we alienate our intuitive feelings and how language has re-defined our existence. Animals often appear in my works, mainly because they have not abandoned their innate connection to the nature; also they usually are the victims under man-made hierarchy of species.
