Recently, a cashier was waiting on me at a grocery store. His drawer didn’t contain enough in it to make change. He asked me to wait while he went to get more money. When he returned, he looked around and asked me, “Where did that man go?!” I said, “What man?” “I said I’d be right back!” He grumbled as he put the money in his drawer. Closing it, he asked if he could help me. Giving him my receipt, I said I was waiting for my change. He then realized that “the man” was me.
