“Make the viewer experience the beauty of the textures, the lines, the colors. A torn edge, a roughness, a jagged slash across the paper – form them so they reveal themselves. Present them, combine them, contrast them so they play against each other, so each reveals its soul and so that each touches the soul and the emotional center of one who sees.”
Susan Graf has exhibited in the United States and abroad since 1980. She exhibited regularly at Artemisia Gallery, Chicago, Il, where she was a member from 1990 to 1995 and served a term as Co-President. Among other venues, her work has been shown at The Art Institute of Chicago, at the SACI Institute in Florence, Italy, at the NGO Forum of the United Nations in Huairou, China, and at the Art Gallery Woong, in Seoul, Korea.
Susan Graf received her M.F.A. from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She currently resides in Chicago, designs websites for artists and teaches Website Design at Columbia College Chicago.
