That Little Black Something
acrylic on wood
19 x 15 in.
From the little black dress to being forced to wear a hat in church to Valentine gifts which are more frequently for the man than the woman, fashion holds too much importance in our society. At some point we are all told appearance is everything and it seems to be true. Appearance can be a false indicator of the type of person you are or what others want you to be. So much emphasis on something of such little importance puts undo stress on women of all ages.
