Shapes and shadows impress their images on me so effortlessly that it seems unjust to label committing them to paper as a “work”. Indeed, although time-consuming, even painstakingly slow, it is a personally glorious means of sifting through the amazing visual assault I encounter on a given day. As a diary services the writer, these drawn “writings” have enabled me to organize and record my life by shapes, shadows, things seen.
