As a Trans, I was blessed to experience the feeling of being in a woman’s body and feeling how they are treated in a Society. What I believe in is humanity, but outside of the discussion of humanity, in my thought gender means the differences each culture has in treating each person and the rules they should obey, which is both sad and beautiful in its own ways. It is sad when forcing gets into the way and it is beautiful when you realize how specific each person is.
I believe my job as a photographer is to show the differences and ask for a little thinking about what is being observed. So that we can talk about the fact that how different every woman’s path is and how they experience the same difficulties no matter what their paths are. However, sometimes talking is not enough and we need to understand more, to do so, photos and articles can be helpful, a simple way to spread knowledge about our issues and the ways we can fix them.
I am trying to depict a combination of fear, sadness, beauty, and the power of being a woman.
