Kidnapping in Vegas
ink and cut paper on paper
10 x 14 in.
As we are constantly instructed, today is a long distance from yesterday. Technology has made a world that once we would hardly have heard of, accessible at the touch of a TV remote or a computer mouse. Special effects have made the impossible routine, and psychology has elevated dreaming to the level of a vital activity. This has changed how we see the world and ourselves, and how we try to make sense of it all. And it is that tension between the new developments and our inborn constraints that challenge and befuddle us, and form a focus for my work.
