I choose to bring part of the past to my work. Deciding what to bring forward and what to leave behind had been a lifetime struggle, until I realized we cannot leave the past behind entirely. This concept manifests itself in my work in many different ways. In making my work, I enjoy the juxtaposition of the past with the present.
