In the process of this work, I am not so much looking at the body, as looking through the body. The figure is informed from the inside out, its shape in stone reflective of emotion as much as physical and anatomical structure. This detail is superimposed in low relief on abstracted or compressed figurative forms. Subtle movement and freedom exist within restrained space.
