Multiple neurosurgeries as a child influenced me to start creating art. Extremes I experience are described in my pieces. Fighting wildfires years after my recovery was inspiring and similar in color and pattern to my seizures. In my work, I document what I could not have achieved when disabled. Visual perception was enhanced by my operations. Thickness in paint, color, and texture activate thrills within me like large-scale fire or politics. I play with the dichotomies of beauty and medical anomaly, or beauty and natural disaster.
