Through abstraction I explore visual language that expresses my observations of nature and natural processes. My paintings are not reproductions of what I have seen. They are, rather, a moment in my experience.

Built up surfaces (my encaustic topography) invite, seduce and entice the viewer to touch; I think the tactile nature of my work is as exciting as its visual presence.
