‘Body As Canvas’ is a Bodysphere venue of Music, Dance and a Palette of Paint. I take the human body and use it as a living canvas. Each painting created directly on the body is different every performance. The paintings are preserved only by video or photographic documentation. The image remains until removed with water.

We subconsciously desire others to perceive us in certain ways. We use cosmetics, clothing and even our social environment to cover us up with artificial masks of identity. Body As Canvas is a monoprint of that delicate yet carefully guarded area we have suppressed as our true identity. I offer each human canvas the permission to revisit their own colorful child-like self-expression if only once again for a brief magical moment.
