Home is both my studio and a safe place for my adult son who has special needs and thrives on interactive activities. The stay-at-home situation and inability to attend his daily programs cause my son’s restlessness to increase but by creating a sense of calmness through special projects, home became the center of joy again.
In response to the theme, I’d like to submit three sculptural works which are part of a journey that began as a “first time experience” a couple of years ago when I entered my mid-seventies.
“City By The Bay” is very personal because it represents my love of San Francisco and the memories I experienced during many walks near my home, the iconic Bay Bridge and diverse cultural surroundings which I look forward to again in the near future.
