Poem: Untold Story 2015
video

Transitory impressions, the distortion of memory and the objectification of the intangible are often the subjects of my work. I am interested in taking fleeting memories and giving them form though recognizable imagery that transforms over time. My goal is to reference the ephemeral nature of our perceptions.

Our sense of the world, as well as our placement in it and opinions of others is all created out of the ability to recollect the past from these fleeting moments in time. However, since our ability to retrieve information is often skewed by other life circumstances, it is impossible to have a single collective memory of the past that is unified among a range of individuals. It is this break in a consistent recollection that motivates me to create narratives with multiple viewpoints.
