Using natural forms as symbols, my work from the series Ephemeral Shadows reflects on the changes in our world caused by anthropogenic climate effects, evoking the disparate feelings we may be experiencing. The works range from shadowed forebodings to luminous expressions of our fascination with nature, intersecting at various points to produce a spectrum of the emotions swirling within. We consider the possibilities of our world and the price of failure in the phenomena of increasing natural disasters. We sense the ephemerality of the natural world and our deep love for it, a call to action.
