These color images are a portion of a body of work I have been developing over the past two years. Photographing projections on to household objects creates the images. The addition of the projection transcends the ordinary into something surreal, conjuring up references of cultural expectations, internal conflicts, and memories long past. This newly created paranormal atmosphere forces us to confront ourselves and the world in which we live. At times the projection acts like a spark of memory, deeply buried, other times the projection is blatant and forthcoming, refusing to be ignored. Ultimately it is the viewer of each image who determines the final relationship.
