ARTIST STATEMENT
This collection is my voice to say Fuck the US Government. I want to show how woman feel when governments take away laws like Roe V. Wade. The bill that Texas passed scared me, but now I am terrified to move to any state and live my life to the fullest due to the limitations a state can create on my body.
The veil of text is to show the operation woman carry with them everywhere they go. When you lift the veil it shows how the woman is perceived to the outside world, but when the veil comes back down, that shows how she views how the world sees her. Every person that touches that veil tarnishes how clean it is and one day that veil will look just like how that woman is treated by the society around her.
