This new body of work reflects the stay at home, hand-washing world we currently find ourselves in. Away from my studio and usual oil paint, these small gouache paintings inhabit the daily rituals around kitchen sinks, hygiene, and soap. This subject varies from my recent work based on significant objects, where I have been researching the things we keep near us which connect us to our personal histories, culture and identity.
