Why Do We Feel So Bad (1998)
photo silkscreen and mixed media assemblage

The damage caused by COVID 19 is occurring on a scale most of us have not witnessed. Illness, death, job loss, bankruptcy, homelessness, divorce, and domestic violence occur in alarming incidence. The needs outstrip the resources as never before and reveal the fragility of our constructs. Even for those living in comparative comfort and safety, there is a sense of doomed security. The psychological realities of tension, isolation, fear and depression will persist with lasting impact on our world view. At this time, there is no unaffected safe home. There is no sanctuary.
