I am an artist, a paintress. My art is solely about women as seen through my gaze as a woman artist. I am resolutely feminist and hardwired Queer. I was born in Montreal, Canada back in the mid-fifties, and I studied drawing and oil painting. I have participated in many art exhibitions in Canada, the USA and in the U.K. . Some of my shows have been a duo exhibition at the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art in Soho, NY / part of the EstroGenius Festival in NY curated by Heidi Russell for International Women’s Artist Salon / The Feminist Art Conference in Toronto, Canada / The FeMail Project in Birmingham, UK / a one woman exhibition at the WANT ( Women Art Network Toronto ) in Toronto. Creating art which speaks to women’s issues such as abuse, freedom from oppression, body image, our vulvas and yes, even erotica have all been part and parcel of my evolution.
