My body of mixed media work explores non-representational abstraction. Strong design elements unite the images playing with shape, pattern, texture, balance and space. I use color in a variety of techniques creating multiple layers that impact the emotional response.
The diversity in my compositions reflects my innate desire to continually create compelling art and evolve as an artist.
Recently, I have been drawn towards geometric abstraction and minimalism. Compositions with few elements and the simplicity of clean, precise lines are very appealing to me. My colors are chosen more for delineating space rather than creating mood.
I work primarily on wood panels using acrylic and metal paint, ink, rust, screens and paper.
