Over the past several years, I have been researching personal narratives as they relate to ancestry and place. A body of work has developed and continues to evolve that incorporates a range of media including hand-made books, paper-dying, stitching, photography, painting and printmaking. My intention is always to explore content and meaning while engaging with the craftsmanship demanded of a particular media, and to integrate the two ideas.
