The work is about crossing boundaries. About the misconceptions of how we appear to others. About how sometimes people can say things about another without thinking of how that person might feel – even through pranks, this can break the trust between two people. This was inspired by a comment made that referenced a racial slur. Be careful what you say and how you say it!!

The title is a linguistic expression that defines multi-cultures or mixing of blood. A self concept formulated from many different ethnicities. Culture and the color of race, has been an issue in my work for many years. The richness of the mixed-colors or mixed races within cultures, becomes a wealthy visual language that can be understood and felt by sight.
