I frequently create ceramic spheres containing text to reflect present social or political issues. The work began with doing small spheres or “stones” with full quotes on them and grew to include both large and small spheres with single words.

“Vagina Warrior” is a group of several smaller stones containing slang words used in place of the word vagina. I was inspired to do this piece while listening to a Ted Talk by Eve Ensler and later inspired to continue showing this piece after the “grab ‘em by the pussy” comment.
