ARTIST STATEMENT
Most of the art I like to make is either super fun and playful or entirely dark and gruesome, so for these pieces, I combined a bit of both to show that you can still have fun and be playful even if the world is a bit darker than we’d like it to be. With these pieces, I want to show that despite the dark world around us and the awful things we’re being fed, like at the dinner party, we can still have a fun time with what we have and cherish those special moments like your first tooth that fell out maybe while you’re playing at the park!
ABOUT THE ARTIST
I live in Pennsylvania and attend college at Millersville University where I’m studying for a Bachelor of Arts. My first two years of college were spent at Harrisburg Area Community College where I had first become an art major my second year and was entered into their photography exhibition in the fall of 2021 and then in their art exhibition in the spring of 2022 where I won second place in jewelry. During my third year of college, through Millersville University, I was able to participate in their student led art exhibition and their art zine in the spring of 2023.
