This work is a collection of body/skin samples gathered from an assortment of people (friends, family, acquaintances) over a period of several months. Like landscape changing shape, color, texture, temperature, an elevation, these fragments go through their own subtle, ordinary spaces to some not-so-subtle, vulgar ones. But all of them comprise what I hope is an honest depiction of us; an unassuming tapestry intended to turn these ideas of discriminatory taste on their heads by giving dignity and grace to what we might otherwise dismiss, if not quality as unbeautiful imperfections altogether.
