My most recent work centers around female figures, both women and young girls. They are often amidst the natural world, which strongly influences my work. I am also compelled by dreams and fairy tales and their ability to tap the reservoirs of the psyche. Many of my images stem from a particular dream fragment. My interest in fairytales comes mostly from deeply connecting to them as a child, especially those in which the main character is a female who, faced with limitations, prevails because of her purity and endurance.
