Basketry is a tradition that has its blessings! For me, there is a positive consequence coming out of a traditional basketry background. My legacy is taking traditional basketry further. I am on a personal mission to redefine a traditional craft, to combine traditional techniques with non-traditional materials, to take basketry to a new and different art level, to work with contemporary innovative interpretations of a traditional art form.
