The Red Kingdom
22 x 30 x 3 in.
In this work I explore the ways that the cultural mindsets of men have shaped and defined the “female” in society. The Images of covered woman/mother mythical entity and sexual object inter-relate in the minds of the male figures.
In this context, the symbolism of the heart represented as Jerusalem underscores questions about conquest, fearful reverence and lust as well as the traditional component of all three.
