Exile (8 May 2020)
acrylic on board
10 x 8 in.
‘Exile’ captures the devastating isolation and sensory deprivation of living alone in lockdown, excluded from all in-person contact due to illness. The only embrace becomes one’s own, a heartbreaking daily reminder to hold on, a faint echo of another’s touch remembered.
